if you want to start a German version of the wiki, just do it, you don't need our permission, all the files + text here are licenced to wikia.com, so if you create EdgeworldDK.wikia.com and translate everything over, i think there is no problem as long as it stays on wikia.com
hey Java; i came up with an idea to have a "Featured Editor" in our wiki, to recognize all our great contributers, my idea is to have a person(s) to be nominated to be a featured editor, and with no objections within a month, we display them on the main page, after a month, someone else could be nominated, what do u think?
In December I was blocked for one week after he left the last answer to a thread I was in and closed it so I couldn't answer back how he was wrong, and saw there was a Remove button on all posts and that was where I left my answer:
I didn't leave any comment about spelling so his claim was fake. His block message was that the user removes comments (This is bullshit, as it was one comment.) and they were warned by admins (This is also bullshit; he was the only admin to warn about that thread, and only one message was warned about. He regularly abuses maths in his diction such as to twist meanings into 1 = 2 to bolster support for his statements. When he misrepresents everything, he can't be trusted as staff.) A few days earlier he had removed my comment to another user about bad spelling. Censorship breeds dishonesty and corruption when the readership cannot see who said what. If my removal of his comment was such a problem (There is no Wikia policy to cover comment removals.) then he could simply revert it and not take it out on me.
The text that comes with the block message is also bullshit; a blocked user whether logged in or as IP cannot contact any administrator to contest the block, and can't email one either. Unlike Wikipedia, the user can't leave a user comment also.
Here after he left a bunch of spelling and ghrammatics corrections on Paoser's wall I left mine about his punctuation:
Soon after I was blocked for /two weeks/ with another confused message "Continuing to post comments about other users' grammar in comment which has nothing at all to do with the posts", when it had to do with /his/ post, it was one comment and not comments, and I don't know what "comments in comment" means. So in that thread where he corrects another user manifold over what I did, he can only abuse me for it if it's about him. Months ago whenever he was confronted with the problems in his writings he'd admit the comment but be stubborn about it and refuse to improve. As there are no Wikia policies against corrections in the comments, and comments are generally free to every user and don't disrupt the above wiki content, his actions are of a personal bias to suppress criticism. I was blocked for what I did in a few comments but most of my contributions are to the main namespace, and a blocked user can't edit there. The other users in Special:BlockList are blocked for their vandalism to the main namespace. I was encouraged to make corrections there but now cannot and it seems not to matter if it doesn't affect the users in the other namespace, and again cannot make any corrections to Edgeworld_Wiki needed for months as it's locked to everyone but admins, and so few even bother to edit it.
I see no wrongdoing on Fidofuz's part. He, in these cases, is doing exactly what we are supposed to do, that is; maintain some standards and not let things descend into personal arguements and editwars. This is in keeping with the Admin. standards set out by Wikia in their Community Admin. guildlines, we are a community here at Edgeworld wiki, that means we must do whats best for the site and all users of the site, your disruption to this, and the distraction this is from other tasks is not helpful.
I have nothing personal against you Alysdexia but I have an issue with your attitude towards other members on this wiki, not just towards me.
I blocked your account for 1 week due to the fact that you continued to ignore warnings from another admin to cease your activity. The final straw was your deleting my message to close the thread. I have had to remove many of your derogatory comments towards users regarding their spelling and grammar in comments, for example "Learn to spell retard" I specifically remember.
In Paoser's case I was trying to help him due to 4 or 5 changes to articles he had made. I made a helpful suggestion for him to use a spell checker and also listed some of the issues I was referring to in the articles. I was attempting to make sure that if he did further edits he would use a spell checker and further corrective edits would not be required. I made no reference to spelling or grammar in his comments, I can understand what he is saying in comments without requiring spelling to be correct. It is important, however, that article grammar and spelling be correct though.
You, however, saw this an opportunity to scan through my comment to him for any spelling or grammatical errors and interfere with my assistance to Paoser. Recently you have desisted from trolling around user comments looking for grammatical errors and posting derogatory corrections. But I assume you saw my attempt to help another user with their ARTICLE POSTS as the perfect opportunity to jump in and try to correct my COMMENT.
I have in no way abused my position here, I will continue to help administrate this wiki for the best interests of all users until I am no longer required or wanted.
we don't just make people admins, we have criteria for this, your contribution has to be higher, your activity and presence must be more regular and longer in duration, then someone might nominate you and we might then vote you to admin.. this isn't IRC :P
That would have a little more merit, if not for the fact that you are either the instigator or you contribute to each and every one of these disscussions, also i have already stated and will do so once more, I don't care about your petty squabbles about spelling, the whole thing just gives me a headache, leave me out of it!
